3 Tips for Preventing Overwhelm during the holidays:
1 – Breathe – sounds simple, but when we pause to really take a deep breath and breathe in and out with mindful attention on our heart, it allows you to get out of your head where the stress happens.
2 – Take time for YOU – you are probably thinking “sure you say, easy to do.” Take an extra 5 minutes to just drink your cup of coffee uninterrupted, go outside to eat your lunch, soak in the tub and so on. I’m sure you can think of a few more ideas.
3 – Laugh – Laughter reduces stress and makes us much happier. Find YouTube videos, watch life around you and see the humor in it.
Hope you will take a few moments to incorporate these tips throughout the year, they are quick and easy solutions to keep you healthy.
